Mononoid – Pathways/ Probes [Lost & Found]

Introducing Igor and Andy, better known as Mononoid on the pages of UTA is a pleasurable experience, as I get to dissect their two track release titled – “Pathways/ Probes”, out now on my favorite label Lost & Found. With the label boss Guy J steering it to directions, one can only dream of.
As I dial the first tune up -“Pathways”, I’m met with the finest grooves, that of exhilarating Progressive House that never dulls, never fades, only shines like a gem of a track. It’s like riding a dark, spacey, hypnotic wave right till the end. Make no mistake this offering, is no wilting flower, the artists in question beef it up with an atmospheric cloud that can stop a rampaging army in their tracks. The duo crank the insides from a spooky warning into a stomping attack. Propelled by deep toms, haunting peek-a-boo vocals, spitting tempo, and strobe light bass, it’s just a divine piece of work.
“Probes” on the other hand has a liquidy groove, things slow down just so and one instantly feels the brilliance of the minds that this EP has been derived from. The melancholic stretched out melody line, drops in to an austere breakdown, from then on the track shivers in abundance, and that squally bass does the rest to keep you swooning in and out of a dreamy stupor.
All in all the release, caters to the aesthetics of the label and twinkles it’s fine soundscapes to all its listeners.
