Chaty, Simian Mode, Tamez – Flight Of The Condor – Union Jack Records

Union Jack Records are celebrating their 30th release with a debut EP from Mexico’s powerhouse trio – Chaty, Tamez, Simian Mode. The three, who’ve collectively released their music on ‘Selador’, ‘Sincopat’, ‘Suruba’ and more, have arrived on Union Jack Records with a 3-track EP titled “Flight of The Condor”.

‘Flight of The Condor’ sees the trio explore the emotional side with a concoction of swirling synths & trickling melodies accompanied by a solid drone bassline, taking you through it’s journey. ‘Stax’ continues the story where it left off with similar elements but with a completely different tone, through a sense of darkness and seriousness. Chaty & Tamez’s ‘My Call’, sits on a solid dubby drum groove and keeps the musicality in tune with the rest of the EP through it’s arpeggiated lines and orchestral layers.

Closing the EP off is the sole remix from Italy’s very own & highly sought after – Francys. With releases on ‘Highway’, ‘Aeon’, ‘Soulfooled’ to name a few, his music has been played & supported by the heavyweights and for a good reason too. His take on ‘Flight of The Condor’ has his unique sound stamped on it, with warm & shuffled grooves and stripped down synth lines for a more effective result.
