Ardor Music, brought to life in early 2015 by Ben Anders – who has a long history in electronic music as a DJ, producer and label associate – together with Benjamin Vogel in the heart of the German Ruhr-area. The label’s focus is on atmospheric, deep & soulful House and Techno.
The debut release comes from upcoming talent Someone Outside, hailing from Ardor Music’s hometown Essen. His trippy, path-setting “Parallel Worlds EP” kicks off the label in style with two original, distinctively sound-designed tracks, spiced up with remixes from Patrice Baumel and Ben Anders & Echoes Of October.
“Parallel Worlds” is a cosmic journey – deep, but highly energetic – with a rolling, evolving groove unleashed by spaced-out synth riffs. “Interrupt” goes with the flow, but takes a more subtle, trancey path.
On remix duties – Patrice Baumel, former resident of Amsterdam’s legendary club Trouw, who has been making waves with his releases on Kompakt’s Speicher and Get Physical, emphasizes the main riff of “Parallel Worlds” and embeds it into a hypnotic fundament with his signature sound. Label head Ben Anders & Echoes Of October round up the package with an even deeper, off-beat driven approach.
Ardor’s voyage has just begun and the course is set for talented newcomers to release hand in hand with well-established artists. It’s the inside that counts, a(r)dorable music!
