Donner, Blitz EP. Oliver Huntemann [Senso Sounds]

Introducing a fresh label imprint from the Techno giant Oliver Huntemann- ”Senso Sounds” is a pleasure all mine. The excitement doubles up when the performer from Hamburg releases a two tracks package, to start things off in style. The first one ”Donner” pulses and bubbles up instantaneously with it’s big room Bass line, bouncy and effervescent in character yet has heaps of underground attitude. The stabbing, chopping, skipping is insanely wondrous, and close on its heels is that nearly melodic pattern skidding around to perfection, spiraling upwards and away making the tune big, bigger, biggest. The crescendo goes on to slabs of discordant string radiance, worth Red Rackham’s treasure. The effect is cerebral damage.

Running head long in to ”Blitz”, the second offering in the pack is quite my favorite. The tune has a funky raciness and show cases Oliver’s passion as a producer in spades. It’s got a narcotic feel to it, casting a cavernous smoky club vibe all around the jagged edges and Vocal use. The distinctive drunken bee like sample and brutal resonant pads appear clever and quick. In short this release is a comprehensive, merciless Techno blaster from the Huntemann stables..
